should I be concerned? Well this is interesting to some and shows how new I am. I have a 11wk old pup since 7wks and his testicles havent dropped yet? Do they just take longer in small dogs? I am thinking ahead of myself But I will be getting him nueter when its time. Is this a problem? or am I just worrying for nothing.. thanks  |
I'm not quite sure when Franklin's dropped but I feel like it wasn't until around 4-5 months. Maybe I'm wrong.. but I don't think you have anything to be worried about. Just ask your vet next time you're in for his shots. :) |
I wouldn't be concerned yet. A dog's testicles should be in the scrotum sometime around 6 weeks but it seems like they do take longer in small-breed dogs. I've been told that if they aren't in the scrotum by 6 months, that the dog has a problem and should not be bred. I've known dogs to drop after 6 months, but it should not take that long. |
