Has anyone tried Angels' Eye I've been giving Chelsea this for a couple of weeks, is does work, but is there any repercussions with Yorkie. Angels' Eyes®. is the first product specifically developed for BOTH DOGS & CATS to eliminate unsightly tearstains from the inside out! Go From Tear To Clear™ Angels' Eyes®. also helps to eliminate staining around the mouth and their coats due to licking. Angels' Eyes®. starts working before the tear stains begin and never adds food dyes or wheat which can have negative effects on your pet. All of our ingredients are products of the USA. |
I've been dying to try it but im to scared since it's an inside product, ive tryed all the on the face one's & they didnt work. |
I will not use Angel Eyes because it is a low grade antibiotic and can falsely elevate ALTs. I am not comfortable giving Ellie antibiotics like that and her vet agreed that it may not be the best choice. |
Thx for the advise, I did email Angels eyes and asked what the ingredients are. What is falsely elevate ALTs.? I think I might quit giving Chelsea the stuff. |

I agree with Crystal, strongly, and here's why: Angel Eyes contains Tylosin (Tylan), which is an antibiotic loosely related to erythromycin - so basically, you'd be giving your dog a daily, chronic dose of an antibiotic. Know what that leads to (in dogs as well as humans) - antibiotic resistance. Yep. Scary stuff, potentially. So, let's say down the line, your dog developed colitis and needed Tylosin and/or erythro for treatment - might not work. Not only that, but your dog's body could create bacterial resistance related to the Tylosin. Meaning, a bacterial strain is now resistant to Tylosin and erythro and can never be treated with it should an infection occur (for whatever reason), thus, a different medication must be used. Which, essentially, is fine - but one can see how when this happens again and again, theoretically - this is HOW mega-viruses occur - this is how MRSA happens (remember that in the news?). Probably WAY more than you ever wanted to know :D but, for those reasons, that's why I wouldn't give my dog a daily antibiotic unless it was medically necessary. Whew! :) |
I tried it one time and it made Duncan sick so in the garbage it went! Warm washcloth works just fine for us! |
