Serious Fur Issues here!!! We need avise!! 4 Attachment(s) My one year old little Cricket jumped off my bed when she was seven months old. :( She seriously broke her radius and ulna on her right front leg. I posted earlier today that my husband is jealous of my furbaby and it is because I had to devote %100 of my time to taking care of her during her recovery time! She had to have surgery by Dr. Bertrand at the Dallas Veterinarian Surgical Center. Thankfully she is doing great...in fact you would never know anything had ever happened to her except she is loosing her beautiful fur!!!! It used to be so long and pretty but now it is breaking off all over her face and head. She has been to the vet ...even blood work. Everything is normal but nor her fur. Have any of you experience this with an injury, maybe anesthesia, maybe stress? I have racked my brain....I have started using missing link...Derm Caps...Canidae. I just bought some FUR BUTTER in hopes in might help...any thoughts or advise will be greatly appreciated! I know if there is help for my baby it is going to be here!:yorkietal |

I have heard that sometimes hairloss happens after a tramatic surgery. We haven't experienced it with our yorkies, but I would just continue with the TLC. It sounds like you are doing the right thing...... and she is still healing and it may just take a little time. Good Luck to you and your cutie!!! Bump ;) |
Oh...I totally understand your concern. Does she rub her head on the ground at all? My Paris #1 had a very pretty coat until she was about 2, then she had an allergic reaction to a flea treatment. Ever since ( 2.5 years) she has had severe breakage on her head. :( I hope they can determine what the problem is. She's adorable btw. :) |
I don't have any advice but wanted to say she is beautiful! |

Her hair does grow but it is very brittle and she does rub her head. This past Christmas was the first time in a few years she had a topknot. And now we are back to the "natural" look. :( It is just very fine and breaks easily. I hope that you find the cause. |
I don't have any advice but hopefully her hair will respond to all the things you are trying. She is a cutie |
