Maxx got shots yesterday and today he is laying around So yesterday Maxx got his 2nd round of vaccines....he got distemper/parvo. And today he won't come out of his crate, he hasn't eaten yet....he just wants to be by himself laying down in his crate. I don't know if this is normal. I know when my son was a little baby & would get his shots he would be sore & we'd be giving him tylenol for a few days.....is there anything I can give Maxx? What should I do? Should I be looking for something else? Take him to the vet now, or watch him??? |
I'm sorry he's not feeling himself today. I would think he needs to be eating/drinking, or I would be concerned. He may be tender to the touch where he got the shot, that would be normal also. Perhaps try giving him some Nutrical..... I'm hoping others will give you some advice!!!! |
Yea I will try to give him some nutrical....It's just he is uaully running around like a crazy pup and playing with his toys, and stuff so I'm just a little worried!!! Well, VERY worried!!! |
Okay I gave him some nutrical off my finger and brought him out to the living room now he is chewing on my feet as I type, that is typical him!! Ha Ha But still....are there any signs or anything that I should watch for through out the day? |

How is your little guy now? When my guys get shots, they tend to sleep more than usual for a day, then they are right back to normal. How is Max's appetite? I would make sure he eats and drinks enough. If he seems lethargic, I would call the vet. I hope he is feeling better soon! |
Layla is a mess after her shots.. she is very lethargic and breathes heavy.. just keep and eye on his gums.. make sure they stay pink.... and see if he is interested in eating treats.. that's how i know JUST how sick LAyla is feeling :p |
Update Maxx was his crazy hyper self this afternoon, now he is pooped he went to his crate by himself & is asleep....I think the nutrical this morning really helped, thanks everyone for your well wishes & advice!! |
