Is corn on the cob an OK Veggy? I know a lot of people feed there furbabies veggy's, I have fed my baby carrots- what a mess she makes with those! I was wondering if a small piece of corn on the cob was something they can chew on? I don't think they could chew anything but the corn off. If the thin end is cut off- any ideas? |
Im Not Really SURE But Ive Heard In Here That Corn Is Not Good For The Furbabys :( |
I wouldn't give my babies corn just because it is so hard for them to digest. I try to avoid corn and corn products in everything from food to treats. It has the tendency to give them constipation! If you are looking for a healthy treat, try apples or frozen green beans. My baby loves both of those, and they don't make a very big mess. |
Corn is not good for your baby! It makes them itch! I have heard that they are allergic to corn! |
I don't give Gucci corn cause is hard to digets and also it makes her itch. I switch her food from Science diet to Natural Balance cause it doesnt contains corn or meat by products. |
Thanks- I am so glad to have this site because in the books I have read it doesn't say anything about corn in them..... |
Mine got a hold of a corn on the cob once, it didn't do anything to them, but they sure had strange looking poop. It was full of corn because their body couldn't digest it. |
Sometimes I will give my dogs a couple of kernels which will pass through their systerm because it is hard to digest but otherwise harmless. I try not to give them the cob because they will eat it too if I let them, and since it doesn't digest as well, the larger pieces of cob may cause obstruction in the intestines(which might require surgery to remove). |
