Hi & Welcome to YT! Peanut butter in a Kong is a great treat-you can also try a little mashed banana or some cottage cheese too. Toss them in the freezer before giving them to your yorkie, and they will last a little longer. Hard-boiled eggs are also great for treats/snacks-they're high in protein. My two yorkies each eat half a hard boiled egg for breakfast, along with a little fruit and some yogurt or cottage cheese. Small pieces of apple are wonderful too-just make sure to peel them and remove any seeds. You might also try pieces of pears, berries, and veggies like carrots, peas (my two like them frozen), cucumber, and green peppers. Happy Snacking! |
Peanut butter is okay (as long as your dog isn't allergic to peanuts) but it is high in fat, so not a good choice for a heavier dog. Egg is fine. Ellie gets one everyday.:) |
