sleepy heads or eye boogers? Please help our yourkie seems to develop sleepy heads by boyh eyes very often and very hard to rid of them as they get caught in her hair. The vet referred to them as eye boogers and didnt seem to think it was a problem. Any other yorkies have these often? |
I have heard that some have that problem. They use combs and clean them daily. My daughter's yorkie has this problem. |
Gracie has HORRIBLE eye boogers!! I feel like I clean them every day but she always looks wet or greasy under her eyes!!! I know that it is nothing to worry about but it is frustrating! |
Spunky gets those too. I usually make it a routine to clean his eyes at least twice a day. I get a cotton ball, and put a lil warm water on it, then just clean his eyes as best as i can. Then i go in with a comb to seperate the hair. I've read that if you dont clean this eye mucus, it can cause the hair around the eye to rot. |
Thank You very much for all your help. I feel better now I'll just keep cleaning them daily. She is my daughter's yorkie and she calls me her Auntie Faith, Im sure you know my daughter she is a member here on this great site. Thanx again! |
This is a morning ritual at our house,, it is called " eye-juice" at our house..LOL Bailey actually is so used to it ,, He expects it and sits good for it! Im always checking him for em, but mornings are the worst! |
I always get these off by using warm water and a cloth. |
You can clean the eye buggies with a flea comb or a warm wet towel. This is pretty normal for some dogs. |
