The liquid AND flea pill ? Has anyone ever use the pill for fleas and ticks AND the liquid that goes between the shoulders?? My grandmother gives her Yorkie BOTH. She said that the vet told her it was ok?? I think that is just way too much meds for a little one. ANy thoughts?? |
Pill? I've never heard of a pill for fleas and ticks. But Kiki is our first dog so I am not that experienced with everything. Our vet told us to use Frontline (drops between the shoulder) each month and so far no fleas and ticks. Anna www.dogster.com/dogs/511397 |
Sentinel is the product in pill form that covers fleas, tics, and heartworms. Seems to me that adding the Frontline would be overkill? |
Well i was thinking the same thing. I think it is just way to much. She won't listen to me. She thinks her vet is the best thing sinced sliced bread. I just hope that she doesn't make him sick. |
If you research these products and the harm they can cause, it makes you worry about using them at all, nevermind two at a time. Would it be possible for you to call her vet to see if he really suggested both? Perhaps she misunderstood him. I hope she misunderstood him. |
I am seriously thinking of calling him. The only problem I have is the fact that if my grandmother who is 79 finds out she will never speak to me again. I am the only one in the family that she keeps in regular touch with. I really don't know what to do. I do know that if he was to have truly get sick from it she would have him at the vets office in an instant. The flea and tick meds scare me as well. They made my shepherd's breath stink and it smelled just like the medicine. That lasted for about 2 weeks. That was the last time I gave it to him. I never put it on Diesel because I always thought he was just too little for it. So I just give bathe him in flea and tick shampoo if I ever see one on him. THe same goes for our Shepherd. |
