Ears UP.. to droopy... When i received my puppy @ 3 months, his ears were Straight UP, and that was what Iloved about my Spunky, because it went well with his .. well spunky personality! Well my Spunky is now 6 months, and maybe about a month ago, one of his ears started to droop, and then the other! And i dont know what caused this, but they never stand up anymore! i had read that when their teething, puppies ears go down, and they eventually go back up... but..that has yet to happen. His ears are so droopy now, giving him this really sad look to him :( Anyone got any info on this, and will Spunky's ears ever stand up again? |
Follow Advice If your yorkie tends to have floppy ears you must shave totally off the V shape in front and in the back. This should be a weekly routine. Always 1/3 of the ear should be shave if your are trying to achieve the look.LOL |
Is he teething right now? He's the right age for it, and teething will often cause their ears to go down until the teething is done. The clipping of the hair is also a good idea. :) |
I agreed with the above. You can shave his ears. Also if his teething that could be the reason why the ears are droopy now. Also some people tape the ears, here is the link. The info is at the bottom of the page. |
To Droop or To Stand?? Looks like everyone gave you good info. I agree with them. ;) Sophies stood at 3 months..and she is almost 15 weeks...now. I know they lose their teeth between 5-8 months... Anyone out there have them droop at this point and go back up???? |
Jade have had her ears up until she start teething , the ears came down and after this phase they went up again . My breeder told me to don't worry about it . If the ears were up before teething , they will be up after , just shave the ears if they have too much hairs . |
