Sad to report it didnt cure her itchy ears. I thought it worked for a while but she started scratching them like crazy last night so I wiped them with achohol and put some oil on them again. and She still scratched...after a little while.:( |
My Yorkie has allergy issues to. I took her to an animal dermatologist. My first Yorkie as a child had terrible allergies. I was very careful when I bought my first Yorkie as an adult and was very fortunate with her lack of allergy symptoms BUT as she got older they got worse. She is now 5. I decided I was just going to take care of it sooner than later. I got a referral to the university teaching hospital at The Un. of Tennessee. You can see what they told me below in the link. http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/yor...atologist.html She is still itching a bit. I am going to take her back and experiment with a different kibble for her. The medicine that they gave her that has really help relieve the symptoms whatever the allergy is, is Hydroxyzine 10 mg. |
read my comments on allergies on this thread as been dealing with this for 5 years http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/yor...y-what-do.html |
