Innova Evo? I'm currently feeding Marley the Huchen Flocken Solid Gold puppy food, and she seems to somewhat like it. She still has a lot left, so I'm not looking to change just yet, but I wanted to get some info. I'm interested in a raw diet, and I know that Innova Evo's sort of a kibble equivalent of a raw diet, which would be more convenient. I believe it has a minimum of 42% protein. I picked up a sample bag of the red meat small bites, just to give her as treats, and she loves it (we're also in the process of switching my golden over from medical). Is this food ok for puppies with the high protein levels, and Yorkies in general? I should add she's 6 months. |
It depends who you ask. If Evo is for All Life Stages, then you can give it to a puppy. Whether that high of protein is good for Yoekies is debatable. I feed lower protein while other people feed higher. Whatever you think is best... If I was going to feed a high protein food, it wouldn't be that one. Just my opinion. |

Bella goes thru about a small bowl every 2-3 days. I like to have food down in case she gets hungry and I cant make the HK for her. It seems to be working. Vet says she is her perfect weight! maybe I should switch to that regimine:D |
I am almost positive EVO is for adult dogs only. Teddy was on that for a bit, but he had soft stools. I would recommend Orijen it is grain-free, same protein, but stools are fine, and they have a puppy food - jmo. Good luck with your decision - I know it can be overwhelming! |

I have also considered the Orijen, it's also 6-star. For the Orijen puppy food it says the same thing on dogfoodanalysis.com, may not be suitable for puppies....which is strange. What I liked about the EVO is the raw food connection. |
