Can our babies have seasonal allergies beside skin allergies? Tink has been sneezing her head off for the last two days. She wakes up in the morning and starts sneezing. Goes outside to potty and sneezes her head off. When I came home at noon to play with her and again tonight when I came home she sneezed about 6 times in a row when I let her outside to potty. but she does it in the house too so I don't know what to think. Should I be worried? I cook her food for her and supplement so she is eating healthy. I'm not sure what to think. |
yes, dogs can be allergic to a lot of things in the environment including grass and pollen that causes a lot of human allergies this time of year |
I'm so glad that I found this discussion. My puppy, Max has been sneezing for the last few days. I was a bit worried about it, but there are spring flowers in bloom, and it's been windy too. I guess he's going to be like his mum (me).:) |
I hope Tink is feeling better, yes they can and do. Bear gets them in the spring every year, the vet told me last year that he may have to be have the allergy test to see if he is allergic to humans:rolleyes: :D |
my mom's york has seasonal allergies and needs to take a pill. |
Oh dear. I'm thinking Tink may need an allergy pill too. This morning she sneezed so often and so hard she fell over onto the sidewalk and scared herself. It was funny and sad at the same time. Poor little baby! |
these little things are so clost to being human.............look into those eyes. :D |
Yes, Bailey has allergies. Spring is the bad time for her, her eyes get gooey and runny. I put plain saline drops in her eyes and wipe them with a damp papertowel a few times a day. Wash her bedding in hypoallergenic soap a couple times a week. I also keep her on a grain free kibble and give her lactosebacillus everyday. Makes her feel better. |
My 12 yr. Yorkie, Rosie, has sneezed five times every morning ever since I got her. Each sneeze gets progressive more violent. On the last one she hits her nose on the rug. Don't know what's been bugging her all these years. |
Maybe she's just cleaning out her sinuses after a nice sleep.;) I sneeze 3 times everymorning after I sit up on the side of the bed. I know it's coming, so I just sit and wait. LOL Tonight the neighbor guy said, WOW those are huge sneezes coming from that little piece of fur! If this doesn't stop in a couple more days, I'm gonna call her vet and see what he thinks. |
Aww, poor Tink baby!!! Yes, allergy season is upon us and the misery is just beginning. (Don't I paint a pretty picture:) )... How is she today, still sneezin' up a storm???? |
She may be having some pollen issues, I just looked at Wis. - and there are some things going on: http://www.pollen.com/home.asp |
Tink is some better today. Still sneezing, but not as often and definitely not as hard. Of course since this morning, there are 6 inches of snow on the ground and 4 more coming! We just got rid of it all except the plowed mounds and now it's back. Sobbing....  |
Yes, in fact inhalant allergies are far more common than food allergies in dogs. Poor Lady has terrible allergies in the spring when everything starts blooming, especially to oak pollen. She has to take Zyrtec. |
