Snorting thru nose while excited... Anything to be concerned about?????? What is this??? Shirley |
I have heard it referred to as 'reverse sneezing' if it's what I think it is. It's nothing serious and very common in yorkies. I do not think it's harmful, but I'll be interested in what others say about it. |
Thought reverse sneezing was a sign of a collapsing trachea? That's was my senior girl has, and that's what gave me a clue. |
But I have to admit I certainly maybe wrong. I am learning all the time on YT.:D |
IDK  I have to do some more reading about it. |
Bella snorts when she gets excited but I dont think it is reverse sneezing. they are cute short lil snorts. I think I have seen the reverse sneeze too. Bella can be laying there and does something with her nose and mouth that i cant explain. Its kind of like a gag and then a gag on exhale instead of inhale. I have noticed it when she is laying on something uneven and something like a quilt is folded wrong and pushes into her tracheal area. The vet is not concerned. I equate it to me getting my toothbrush too far down my throat when I am brushing my tongue. I think hers is stimulated |
