Anyway... Pixie was a very late bloomer and does not have regular heats... I only have two recorded... and a possible third, not for sure honestly, she didn't even swell to half her size... But reguardless, she needed to be done and she will reduce mutipule health risks bu doing so. Sorry to sound defencive... I'm not trying to be, I just can't let thoughts that I am doing this in vain creep into my head right now... |
And Ellie did have pain meds that day (and for a few days after) but she was in a lot of pain. So much so that she was crying. It bothers me when they don't give pain meds...how would they like it... |

I thought the tubal was going to be easy..I originally took off a day after the surgery..I had to call and take the rest of what was a week off. That bad boy was painful mind you I had mine laproscopically...so I know you were hurting if you had a big cut. Oooh to be young and naive..that is what I thought of your vet's counter folks...lol..such dingbats. |

Good luck, will be praying for them. Tricksie did very well, no pain, nothing. She was just a little sleepy for awhile. |
Praying for safe surgeries and smooth recoveries. |
only about 30 more minutes i think? :) hope your babies recover quickly from their procedure and you have them in your arms soon - they will be so happy to see mommy! |
Isabella was spayed last Tuesday; she was 3 lbs. 2 oz. when she went in. Had her teeth checked, too: only 5 baby teeth left, and he didn't think there would be a problem, but we'll take care of them later if they're retained. They sent her home with pain meds; we gave her two of the four syringes (loaded with liquid): One the same night, and one the next night, so she'd be able to sleep. She was slow the rest of the (same) day, and a little slower than usual the next day. By the third day, she was romping and tussling with the other dogs like nothing was wrong. She gets her stitches out on Friday. I wish I could handle pain as readily as my dogs seem to. |
aww we hope your girls come out on top.. we are sure they will.. keep up the good mommy work you do.. |
:cheer: :cheer: The girls are HOME!!!!!:cheer: :cheer: Pixie is PASSED OUT! And Chynna, true to her po-go stick nature, is ready to romp! I am sooooo glad I crate trained, I repeat.. crate trained, my dogs!!! Its situations just like this that it comes in REALLY handy! I'm supposed to keep them seperated for the next few days??? and keep them from jumping and playing??? I could never do that without them being crate trained, and right after sugery is NOT the time to start crate training, lol They are at the end of the desk in their crates resting. Pixie dead to the world and chynna just watching me type away... I have a glass desk so she can see my every move! LOL I am so thankful for all of the good thoughts and well wishes!!! You guys are the best! |
Glad their both home and recovering! |
