Carsick Medicine? Happy Sunday everyone!! we will be leaving today after dinner to go to houston for two days & I will be taking Reagan with us, I just can't be without her for even two days & I've never left her b/f LOL! I think my kids are getting jealous :) she gets carsick in her carrier even on a 30 minute drive to the vet but the other day when we got her after her grooming hubby was driving so I held her coming home & she didn't get sick at all, we will be stopping in alex. to get her a playpen so is there anything I can get her at petsmart that will actually work? I read about the dramamine & benadryl but I don't want to take a chance b/c I don't know the dosage to weight ratio she is 2 3/4 lb. any info & help would be appreciated, we're gonna "try" to leave around 2:30, Thanks Tiff |
Try giving Reagan a few ginger snap cookies. You can buy them at just about any grocery store. Great for calming tummies. Sheila |
My groomer suggested the ginger snap cookies too as Pixie gets car sick, I just bought some but haven't tried it yet. Have a great trip |
There is a relatively new medicine available at your vets for just this purpose. It is called Cerenia. It is good for all types of nausea. We used it when one of our puppies was vomiting and there didn't appear to be any side effects. I plan to use it with our little Jersey as he gets car sick even looking at the car. Have fun! |
