Itchy problem!! Bubbles always gets so itchy this time of year! It might be some sort of seasonal allergy situation. I'm positive it's not fleas. I have tried oatmeal shampoos, and a few anti-itch sprays, but nothing seems to have long-lasting effect. In past years, this problem usually goes on until about mid-summer. Does anyone have any suggestions?? |
Have you checked with the vet? I'm sorry I don't any ideas. |
Our little 10 year old, Gunnar was a scratching maniac for a spell. At first we thought it was just dry skin, then maybe an allergy. I discovered after grooming an additional rinse at home helped. Their delicate skin doesn't need much to get itchy so we would advise groomers to use a more delicate shampoo and rinse very well. We found a great shampoo after many trials and it works best for our two. It's called Earthbath totally natural pet shampoo. The particular one of theirs is the Oatmeal & Aloe shampoo. Gunnar doesn't scratch at all which is easier on our minds for sure. These Earthbath products have no chemicals and have all natural ingredients which I'm sure makes a big difference. Try rinsing Bubbles a second time after shampooing and check out some other natural shampoos. Some oatmeal shampoos have more chemicals than we think. Some of which we wouldn't want over the entire surface area of us let alone our little babies. |
Depending on where you live, grass may be the problem. My ex-little Pommie, may she R.I.P., was allergic to grass. Tried to keep her off of grass as much as possible. Hope you figure out what the problem is. |
Thanks, everyone. I think my local Petco has that brand of shampoo, and keeping her out of the grass may help as well. *Crossing my fingers that these suggestions will help!* If anyone else has other suggestions, keep them coming!! |
