not interested.... Maggie is 5 months old and weighs 2.4lbs...very active and healthy... but i cant understand for the life of me why she is just not interested in food(dry or wet)or even treats. She eats enough to stay healthy but is sooo thin.I can count her ribs!!!I cant even seem to "fatten"her up with treats.Anyone else have the same problem????just never heard of a dog not interested in food!!! |
I wish!!! Mine are all chow hounds. Although Cali was such a picky eater as a puppy and I had to give her Cesars (bad dog food) and chicken to get her to eat. Once she was spayed she completely changed and loved any food I gave her. Hopefully your baby will take more interest in food soon. |
Some puppies are very picky eaters but I would be concerned with her being thin. Have you had blood work done on her to make sure she does not have a liver shunt? What kind of food is she on now? Has she had any blood sugar problems? I have a 6 month old tiny boy that was being a picky eater but he was having blood sugar problems. About two weeks ago I bought some K-9 Bluelite from Revival Animal Health Products and I started leaving out a small bowl of this for him to drink and it is amazing how his energy level has picked up. He was also having problems with constipation so twice a day I take a little canned pumpkin and mix it with some sweet potato and turkey baby food (comes in a little jar together) and a tiny bit of Karo syrup and I let him lick it off my finger. He loves it. He also eats Canidae dry food. I wish you luck with your little girl. |
