Stitch protruding? My puppy was neutered about 6 weeks ago and the vet told me that he had used "dissolving" stitches. HA! My puppy has a stitch protruding that is quite sharp. I have hemostats, should I just pull it out, or should I take him back to the vet for him to remove it? I hate spending the cost of an office call for him to pull out a silly stitch..... :( |
I had that happen when Memphis was fixed. I just took a fingernail clipper and snipped it off. |
just do it yoruself...... your right it is a silly thing to go back to the vet for lol...... i even took out my own stitches a couple times because i didnt want to go make and apointment and pay a co pay for just coming in |
I would say the same thing. Trim it or pull it out yourself, but be sure to keep an eye on it for infection or if it opens up. |
Stitch removal I brought Alley into the vet. It didn't cost me a thing since they should have dissolved anyway. I was glad I did because they had to use a hemostat to pull it out and I didn't have to worry about bleeding. |
Magic had the same thing when she was spayed...we were so worried that it would never fully heal until we did something about it!!! We finally took her back to the vet and they pulled it for free of charge...it took like 5 minutes and we were out of there...she healed up like 3 day later and now months later you can't even tell anything!!! |
