Innova Evo small bites I had my puppy (she's 15 weeks) on Wellness canned and dry food mixed together. Sometimes she ate, sometimes she didn't. The other day I got a sample of Innova Evo small bites which I gave her for training. Now she refuses the Wellness and only wants the Innova Evo. My concern is that the high protein food (6 star) is not really recommended for puppies. Has anyone fed their puppy this food? Is it OK since the warning is directed more towards large puppies? |
I'm wondering the same thing. But my yorkie, Peanut, is almost 11 months old so he's almost an adult. But I've never found a food for him that he entirely loves. We have another dog at home and he's on reduced fat food because of pancreaitis. Well, Peanut just loooooves reduced fat food but I'm afraid it's not enough for his development. Is there such thing as too much protein for puppies? |
I buy Welliness and Innova. I have a schnauzer that eats k/d for kidney disease and the innova canned gives her a chance and it has lower protein than some others. But, my problem is that Kayla, our yorkie has her little Innova bites down and Mandy loves them too and she is an old gal now. I don't even try to seperate all of them anymore, I just do the best I can and glad I have good eaters. They are all little pigs. Tina is a toy schnauzer and about the size of Kayla. But, I think Innova and Welliness are two very good dog foods. Never had a problem so far. |

You will find lots of conflicting advice on foods and protein requirements. I bred yorkies for 20 years and always fed high protein food to my puppies. |

It comes in a triangular kibble with a hole in the middle - very easy for a puppy to chew. We tried Innova EVO lately & had a problem with one of my Furbabies vomiting a few times a day. Too much protein for this particular girl. |
