Skin on healthy humans has a pinkish tone to it because the blood flow is good. So I have to presume it's the same for animals as well. That is just my own thoughts. |
yorkies skin color is supposed to be the color that the hair is going to be. my boy (1 1/2 yrs)has a pinkish color and he is the lighter blue (silver) his head is light gold and so his his skin there. my girl(6 yrs) is black and her skin his blue and her head is deep gold and her skin color there is gold. seems like we all have the makings of some light colored babies here.:) |

I just posted this in health but didn't get many reply's about it. :confused: I got to wondering this because my Jake is very dark and his skin is blue...it looked strange....Even though my Jack is dark also but his skin is not blue....I just wondered why one was and the other was not..... |

Skin tone My autumn will be four and her skin tone is dark (drab grayish pink)....it was pretty pink when she was younger. Her fur is a very shiny grey. Is this skin tone normal? |
Bluish on the black areas grey/white in the brown areas. It should match what they hairs going to be. Some with lighter skin get lighter fur/hair. |
SHE IS ALMOST ALL SILVER, EXCEPT FOR THE TOP OF HER HEAD, BUT THAT SKIN IS DARK ALSO. I WORRY TOO MUCH I GUESS. RIGHT NOW IM WORRYING ABOUT HER OCCASIONAL HONKING. SHE GAINED WEIGHT IN THE LAST SIX WEEKS. 6.6 to 7.4 AND THAT CONCERNS ME ALSO. THANKS FOR YOUR INPUT. |
Ziva's( in my avatar) skin has always had a very pinkish color. I never knew any different until we got Abby. The skin on her tummy is more white/ greyish. Abby is only 1 year so we don't know her final coat color yet, right now they are similar in color. |

Ziva is 3, she has a silky wavy coat that is too fine to grow very long, it is black with silver highlights(like crushed velvet), her tan parts are very rich golden colors. Abby has silky,perfectly straight coat. Her tan parts are creamier right now, altho Ziva got darker tan after two years. |
Jada has a dark saddle area and legs and head is a more dark golden color. Her skin is mostly a whitish color with hints of pink. My little guy Bogie is a Biewer and he is multicolored:p His skin is white/gray on the dark parts of his body and pink as pink can be on the white areas. |
