okay so i thought my baby was getting neutered yesterday
 
and so i brought him home after work..

and NOTHING HAPPENED.

he still has his.. you know what.. and he's just a little tired..

and i looked at his receipt.. AND NEUTERING IS NOT ON THERE...

did i miss something? i mean i'm gonna call them and ask later..

but i don't think they did anything to him yesterday besides a check up.. and i actually have another drop-off next month.. i find that odd.............?

so basically.. if they didn't do anything.. they just had me worried.. all day.. and they kept him there to play with him.. wtffffff =[

i'm a little upset.. but i'm jumping to conclusions.. i'll wait til later to get upset..

You didnt notice you didnt pay for the neutering? Sorry I am not trying to be rude but I would ask why I wasnt being charged for it when they told me how much I owed. :confused:

yeah i have an insurance program so i pay monthly and it covers all fees.. i didn't pay for anything yesterday besides his chew treats. so i assumed it was already done.. and i was saying he got neutered in front of the vet and whatnot and no one bothered to correct me. i didn't notice it until i got home and actually READ the receipt..

yeah i looked at the receipt and i saw the blood work... and some dental kit that i didn't get? and a bunch of other stuff..

i don't understand it.. so i am definitely gonna call later and ask what EXACTLY those things are =D haha

Yeah, some vets schedule preop bloodwork on a separate day than the surgery. I would guess that is what happened. I prefer to do it same day.

same here.. i would prefer same day as well.. i don't know why nobody told me he wasn't going to be.. or wasn't neutered...

even when i called.. they didn't say anything....

they called and left a message after i dropped him off in the morning.. something about doing preliminary check up and they found some baby teeth.. and they wanted to talk to me about my options..

i called them back after i snuck to the bathroom from work.. and they just discussed the teeth with me.. and when i had asked if he was under anesthesia yet.. the vet tech said no.. not yet and i told her oh okay.. and i let her know i was worried.. and she said he's doing fine.. and then i told her i'd be picking him up after work and she said that anytime after 330pm would be fine.. i told her after 5 since i get off work at 5.. and then we hung up....

they didn't tell me anythingggg

i'll call them today in a few hours.. since i'm still at work.. and i'll let you know what they say...

It makes me wonder if they are taking advantage of your insurance. Your vet sounds like a terrible communicator. This is very odd. Good luck in figuring it all out.

I know when chewy was a puppy, one testicle never dropped. it was inside. at one point I was looking for his testicle and found two round things and thought that was both testicles so I showed the vet and said "LOOK.... it dropped!:D " He was like, no those aren't testicles but every one thinks thet are... I forget what they were but his testicle was still inside. THese were too high up to be testicles....

LOL! I think I know what happened. I took my Jamie in to his vet back in February to be neutered. Jamie's vet called me at lunch time and said that since Jamie still had alot of his baby teeth and that he would prefer to wait on neutering Jamie and see if he lost more teeth. We decided to wait so that Jamie would only have to go under anesthesia one time. So I think what happened is that your doctor probably wanted to wait to do the neuter for 4-6 weeks to see if your baby maybe lost a few more teeth.

What an ODD situation!!! Sounds like something that would happen to me. I always forget to ask the important questions and just assume everything went the way it should. (not saying you did that) Would love to hear the end story here and yes, i would agree about your vet having a lack of communication.
