Canidae Vs. Royal Canin Hello everyone, I am new here at YT, I have two yorkies that I have been feeding Eagle pack since they were puppies, about 2 months ago I switched them to Canidae. I heard great things about Canidae and I wanted to get my dogs the best food out there. However, I found Royal Canin today, I purchased 10lbs bag to try it out. Does anybody here feed their babies Royal canin? Is it a good food for yorkies? What is the best food out there? (except raw). Please help me out. I am lost... |

first off,f, Welcome to YT!!! and as for feeding choices,, i was feeding our girls Royal Canin and they did very well,, but then i found YT and began reading here all the varying opinions on dog foods,, was led to www.dogfoodanalysis.com and read up on foods,, and we decided on MERRICK, and are switching over to it now,, the girls love it and are doing well on it! :aimeeyork :aimeeyork :aimeeyork |
Welcome :) I had always fed Royal Canine to my Shepherds and started out the same with Lucy but she was so itchy I changed her food and it went away. She was allergic to the RC. |
You will find many complaints about RC on here. I think Canidae is a much better food. Click the link in the above post and decide for yourself. |
Royal Canine  |
At first I was feeding my girls w/ Premiere, but their skin became dry and had little flakes too... Then when I found YT and the threads about different kinds of food I tried to order Canidae ALS on-line but NO ONE seems to ship to where I live...:( But yesterday a cousin called me on the phone, and she is an air-hostess, and she's on a flight to Miami sooooo I asked her to bring me a bag of Canidae to try on the furgirls!!!!! YAY... I just hope there's enough time so she can find a store that sells it:xfingers: Currently they are on RC, but so far no change on their itching dry skin problem... |
thank you all. I think I am going to keep them on Canidae. :) |
