Food Has anyone ever heated up boullion and poured it on the hard food to kind of make is soft? Having food issues with Nico. Thanks in advance. |
That would be too salty, so I wouldn't do it. Have you tried wet food? You could also try mixing some cottage cheese or plain yogurt in with the kibble. |

If you really want to keep feeding him the dry food, you can just soak it in a bit of water for a few hours and it becomes soft. Good luck. |
I 'doctor up' the hard food at dinner, but I think a bouillion cube would add too much salt, which is not good. I will add cut up green beans, little cut up shreds of chicken, a spoonful of wet dog food or low fat cottage cheese or yogurt....things like that to make it more interesting. I mix it up real good so it blends with the hard food. Just make sure what you're adding isn't something they should not be having. |
I add homemade chicken soup to Chewys dry food all the time. Just get 1 or 2 chicken wings and a carrot. Enough water to cover them and thats all you need to make "chicken soup' your baby will love. She will usually finish all of her dog food if it has soup on it. Just make sure to not put more than 2 or 3 tablespoons on the soup... too much soup gives them diareah/ |
