How big will she be? My yorkie was born on March 2, 2005 and weights about 7 pounds, how big will she be full grown? |
if i counted right shes 5 months and 7 pounds wow thats big im not help someone here should be more help than i am lol |
They usually grow until about 6 or 7 months. Your baby should not get too much bigger, maybe she will top out at about 8 - 8 1/2 pounds. I have one that is almost 9 pounds and one that is only 3 1/2 pounds, but I have known some that have gotten over 16 pounds and as small as 1 1/2 pounds. |
Thanks so much! |
As per SPCA As per the SPCA dogs grow until they are a year, at 5 months my boys were 4 and 4.5 pounds, at 15 and 16 months they are now fully grown at 9 pounds and 7.5 pounds. Dogs do not stop growing at 6 months. I would say that your yorkie should be around 9 pounds. Five months and 7 pounds is big. |
Thanks! |
If she was born in March, that means she's only 4 and a half months? Well yeah, they usually have growth spurts. Like they'll grow a lot and then stop! |
wow your baby is going to be a big girl here's a growth chart that i went by for coco and it is right on...personally i can see your baby growing over 10 lbs easy if she's 7 lbs at 41/2 months she is gaining 1 1/2 lbs a month. they don't stop growing at 6 months but they due slow down dramatically after that. the growth after 6 months is barely noticable that's why alot of people say that they stop at 6 months. http://yorkiepassion.com/growthchart.htm |
my rosie is almost 6months and weighs 61/2lb the vet said she wont grow much bigger just fill out some wendy and rosie :rose: :yorkiesar |
Good rule I've heard of a rule. Multiply your yorkie weight at 12 weeks times two and add one pound this is a pretty good estimate. Hope this helps.LOL |
