Remi is at Dogter Snips right now We just dropped Remi off to get fixed(and he's not even broken), microchipped and baby teeth out. He was NOT happy at all. He remember's going last time, even tho it was just a check-up and shots. He screamed at the top of his lungs before the Vet even touched him. Everyone was cracking up. But I misunderstood the time period and he will be staying 2 nights. We can't get him until Wed. AM. At least my cousin works there and she will spoil him big time. Roxy was looking all over for him when we brought his blankie he got from Millie back with us because they were afraid it would get lost. He did get to keep his little turtle, tho. I miss him already - he is constantly snuggling with me. It was a hard decision to make, considering his pedigree, but I know it will be better for him and that is my main concern. Please keep him in your prayers. He has never been alone in his life. He sleeps curled up next to me every nite. |
Awwww I feel your pain. I cried like a baby when I took chewy. Sadie get done in one month and I tear up just thinking about it. Chewy goes to get teeth cleaned this wed.:( |
Hey Wemi, dis iz Gizmo! Dude, this isn't so bad. At least at my vet, the techs are really nice and like to pet me. There was also this really cute poodle there. Then, if you play your cards right...look all pitiful when you come home. Your mommy will give you LOTS of good stuff to eat and she will let me stay on her lap most of a day. If you are really lucky, you will get a new toy too! :D  Make sure your mommy gets an extra pain pill or two when she brings you home just in case, and some soft canned food that we don't usually get to eat! :D We neutered boys need to stick together! Take it easy dude. |
aww remi good luck tomorrow little man.you are in my thoughts and sending hugs your way:) i know how you feel mom layla was done a week ago tomorrow.i cried when i dropped her and when i picked her up.you will be happy when its done and over with i sure am:) |
Aww, he should be just fine.:) I don't know why in the world they would keep him for two nights though (maybe one if that). When Ellie was spayed and had a liver biopsy she didn't even stay one night. She came home about 4 and a half hours after surgery and did fine... |
Thanks - Roxy didn't get any pain meds when she was done - she did great. I know he'll be fine, I just didn't expect he'd be gone 2 nites. Already got his new toy waiting for him (got one for Roxy, too, 'cause she steals everything) - probably have to get something else, too. |

Aww. Poor little baby cried:( I would have cried too! I take Tucker in next Monday to get him fixed. I'm worried too, but I know it will be for the best in long run. |
Update Just checked on Remi and he came thru with flying colors and is resting comfortably - minus a couple "thingies". I begged them to let me bring him home tonite but they said Nooooooooo. So, I have to wait till I get my lunch break tomorrow to get him. The good news is - he doesn't have to wear an E-collar. I can't imagine how much higher his cry can get - it's already ear-piercing:D . |
Aww, glad he did well.:) |
Sandy, I'm glad it's over for Remi. Your right, it's better and healthier for him if your not going to breed him. Hope tomorrow comes FAST so he can be back home with Mommy and BRO. Hugs, |
Yeah! Glad to hear he's doing fine. |
Why?? I am not trying to be obnoxious...but why do you have to leave him there 2 nights? Max got "fixed" and he was home within 7 hours. Oh..and Max also had 9 teeth pulled. I had a greyhound that had a rear leg amputated and she also came home that night. Just wondering............... |
I was so thinking about him today. I am so glad he got a new toy!The sweet Momma you are.:p I am glad to hear he is doing fine!:aimeeyork ;) Hugs and prayers to you and him. I bet you can't wait to get him?.:p Hugs, Mary |

Ahhh Remi, dude, glad that you are A-OK even though you are minus a couple of things..lol. Izzy sends you tons of puppy kisses and she told me to tell you to milk it for all it's worth...get tons of hugs, kisses, toys, food, bed sleeping rights. |
We just picked Remi up at the Vet's and after all the kisses, he proceeded to lecture me in no uncertain Remi yips just what he thought of the situation - ALL the way home. I'm so glad I don't have a puppy bark to English translator. I can just imagine the words that would have been coming out of his 2-less-baby-teeth mouth:D . Krysten took one look at his tummy and let out the expected EEEWWWWWWW! He came in the house and started chasing Roxy all over - up over the furniture - jumping off it (have I ever mentioned he is part mountain goat?) and having a great time. He had a little chicken and went to his pad and pooped (that doesn't happen very often, hitting the pad, I mean) and is now checking himself. All this in a matter of 20 minutes. Remi and I thank you all for your prayers - he's good to go now:thumbup: :) . At least he quit lecturing me:p . |
Aww. :) I can just picture that! Glad to know he's home. :D  |
I'm glad Remi is back home and all went well. I also would have loved to know what he had to say to you when you picked him up! I bet you never knew he even knew 1/2 the words that came out of his puppy mouth:p Wishing you a speedy recovery Remi although it dosen't sound like you need it. Relax alittle and stop being a mountain goat for at least a day. |
Awww Remi, I'm so glad you're home and feeling almost back to yourself again :) Milli will be happy to hear this news :) Congrats on pooping on the pad-you're just trying to fool your mommy aren't you, being such a good boy and all! Haha, Sandy, he probably thinks losing the jewels is finally punishment for all those mysterious "ghost poops" ;) Maybe he'll think twice about leaving a deposit for you anywhere else :) We can only hope, right? Now, can we PLEASE see some more pics of Mr. Remi, all better? (hint, hint!) |
