Orange Peelings... Zorak grabbed my orange peeling and I really think he ate a good chunk of the peeling. Does anyone know if this is a bad thing? I can not believe that he got it and I did not notice, that is what I get for eating on the sofa with him right there! |
well i don't think it will kill him... as far as i know pups can have oranges.. i don't give it to layla because i don't like oranges myself.. but just watch that he eats and drinks normally tomorrow and watch for it to come out ;) |
I don't believe it will hurt him. I've given my dogs little pieces of oranges for years. I can't think of anything in an orange that would bother them except the acid on their tummies if they ate alot. You can try Googling it and see what pops up. |
i would keep an eye out for the runs. oranges contain a lot of acid. |

Oranges are fine but too acidic to give as treats I think. The only problem that would concern me is an obstruction if is didn't get chewed. Just make sure he is pooping and eating. I would also call the vet if he starts vomiting and doesn't actually throw it up... |
Thanks for the input. It was not the orange itself, just the outer shell, I will watch for any changes in his elimination patterns. |
