I put Ellie's on upside-down (so the two snaps were on her back, not on her incision). Then when she had to go I unsnapped her and brought the flap underneath her belly and in front of one of her back legs and resnapped it to the top. I think this was LuvMySissy's idea.:)

Thank you! I have to buy one onesie tomorrow after dropping off Mochi for the surgery.

First off, ,Welcome To YT!!! Next,, know all of us here will be holding good thoughts for your baby and you for the surgery!,, I live with 3 Yorkie girls here,, and 2 are spayed,, Both recovered well,, both removed their own stitches overnight,, but all was fine,, was only the outside ones,, and they were fine,, and as far as personality changes afterwards,, I Swear,, i think ,, if anything ,, they are MORE playful now than before even,,lol,, IMHO,, if you have a choice of regular or laser surgery,, Go For The Laser Surgery!! recovery is SO much faster and less pain, and of course,, use pain meds, especially if you have normal surgery.. just my own opinions.. again, ,Welcome!!!! :aimeeyork :aimeeyork :aimeeyork

Another suggestion is to buy more than one because they seem to need them. And try it on before the spay because Ellie's had to be lengthened.

Thank you again!!! I think I will have to go buy from Target today before she goes for the surgery tomorrow, so that she can try in on and if it needs alternation, I can do it overnight.

Do you think the new born sized onesie will fit Mochi (2.5 lbs)?

I am going to venture to say that the smallest size would be best.

You are absolutely right!!! I bought the new born size from Target, a whole pack of 5. I had her tried on and it fitted her perfectly!! I had her put on the onesie upside down as you said, her little tail poked thru the hole in between the 2 snap buttons; she was so cute and it took her no time to get used to that. I couldn't help but laughed my head off for a while.

I had learned so much since I joined YT; I had so much laughing moments reading those funny pictures and post; I also had some sad moments reading those sad posts. YT makes my life more colorful and fun, I love YT!!! :love:

Thanks again, everyone! Cayo had the spaying done yesterday and all went well. She even wanted her squirrels in a log last night and was not happy that we wouldn't let her play! I would say she's pretty much back to normal already this morning. But not too happy that the toys are put away for a day or two! I appreciate all of the good advice here at YT!

Glad to know that your baby is doing well. I think she deserves one more toy.... hehe. ;)

I just dropped off mine for spay today, hopefully, she will also do well like your baby.
