Weight at four months? I love buying tshirts for Guinness but want to buy some on sale. He's at a tad over 5bls at four months old. His dad was about 7lbs and mom was around there, too. He may be bigger than that, huh? I checked out the charts, but you start with birth weight, I don't know what he weighed at birth, I realized it's not in the scrapbook they gave me. bummer  |

I believe the rule of thumb is their weight at 6 months is when you can avg what their adult weight would be.. Now he could be smaller or larger then parents its kinda hard to tell.. I think their eating habits and their energy level as to how much they run n play etc etc plays a part too.. |

Buddy was 6.5 at 4 1/2 mos. Today he is 15lbs. I would double the weight at 3mos and add 1lb. That's what I did and he is close to that. Looks like your baby might be around 10-11lbs. Another teapot. They are so loveable. |

Charts can only give an approximate guess. According to the chart Lucy should have weighed less than Caesar, but now that the are grown, she weighs a 1 1/4 lbs more than he does. Some people say adult weight can be estimated by tripling the puppy's weight at 8 weeks or tripling it at 12 weeks. Nothing's positive as they can grow at different rates. |

I'm glad he's not going to be a small'er yorkie, if he can take up more space that would be good LOL |
