Is it normal to throw up often 1 Attachment(s) My 4 month old yorkie has been throwing up lately, sometimes its just water, i just think he drinks too fast, but last couple of days its been treats or even his food. I know they have sensitive stomachs, is this normal?:( |
I don't think yorkies have sensitive tummies (overall), but I'm not sure what's wrong with your cutie. Have you switched food or added any new treats? Could he have gotten into anything? How are his poos (that's usually a great clue)? What are you feeding? |

He has had diarrhea last two weeks due to eating rabbit poop, but now he is totally normal after antibiotics and some other medication, however yesterday he threw up twice, i did give him a kong toy filled with goodies as a treat, i put kong paste, his dry food, some wet food and a treat, and i have been monitoring him outside to make sure he doesn't eat any more rabbit poop. Could the antibiotic upset his stomach? |
Is he on Metronizadole? I'm not the biggest fan of this, though it's given so freely by many vets (some are finally becoming more cautious now). Over time (later in treatment), it can get tough on the pet and can result in nauseousness and diarrhea (which is, ironically, often what you're trying to treat in the first place). |
1 Attachment(s) No he's on amoccicillin (did i spell that right?), he absolutely loves it, jumps when i take it out of the fridge. He has not been throwing up in the past 1 1/2 days, maybe it was just something he had, he is like a vaccuum cleaner, picks everything up off the floor, i try to keep it clean, but i have kids and he always finds crumbs on the floor. KramerAttachment 196503 |
