Question about brown spot on my pups tooth. One of her teeth on the side has a brown place in a crevice and it won't brush away. She is 8 months old and I didn't know if there is anything I can do about it. Is there an easy way to brush? MY husband holds her in a blanket and I do the brushing, but it's still a struggle with both of us doing it. |
We can brush a little on Roxy's front teeth but that's as far as it goes with her. So we put the paste on the brush and give it to her to chew on and that helps with the back. Remi is better with letting us do it for him. |
It may be tarter build up....there are tooth scalers but you have to be careful with a wiggle worm.....they look like this... http://www.drsfostersmith.com/produc...cfm?pcatid=764 Some people take their pet in for the vet to do a dental cleaning once a year to clean the teeth.... |

If she doesn't have any baby teeth left then that is not a good sign on such young teeth (although common in Yorkies). It has to be tartar. If you can't get it clean please have a dental done. Ellie's teeth were terrible and she ended up having 9 adult ones pulled. If it is tartar building up on baby teeth, the baby teeth should be pulled. |
I don't know how to tell if all of her teeth are her adult teeth. Thanks for all of your suggestions. The brown place was smaller last night, so I think it may have been partly some food. I am going to keep brushing and bought some PetzLife Oral Care Spray & Gel so hopefully I can keep her teeth shiny and healthy. :aimeeyork |
Hi how did you get on with the Petzlife, I have heard so many rave reviews about it, I have just ordered some. |
