Dog Food Recipes Wanted So after some chat about poohs and general health I would love to know some all natural recipes for my little Schmoo...I am fortunate enough to have a chef at home to whip it up and at the same time love doing it :) !! Schmoo can have a sensitive tummy at times, and I want to make sure she gets all the nutrients she needs...thanks!!! :wavey: |
oooo I could use some recipes too, maybe even learn to cook, I mainly survive off mcdonalds and college cafeteria food, but I'd SOO cook for my little Henry <3 |
well here's hoping some YT members help us out! :) |
They are on the Health thread. They are a sticky at the top of the threads.;) |

Thank you!! Hey my furbaby is 11 weeks old, would it be safe to make him some treats? like the cookies on the link? or should I wait? heh |
I don't know what treats you are interested in making but just about any should be fine. If they can handle kibble, then treats are fine also.:) |

Leo's Cookies, they seem very easy, and I suck at cooking haha, just wondering if it would be ok for my puppy. |
I'm not sure cream cheese is a good choice for any dog honestly. A couple bites shouldn't hurt, but I wouldn't make treats out of it... |

http://www.ajc.com/living/content/li...419fdrecp.html I've made the gingerbread treats on here with a few variations. It might be a good idea to replace the honey with karo syrup since there is some controversy over whether a puppy should have honey or not. You could only do this if the dog isn't allergic to corn though. There is a lot of iron in blackstrap molasses, so you might want to use regular, especially since their is already iron in their food. Whatever you're comfortable with... I made them thinner than 1/4 inch. To dry out a took them out of the oven and turned it off. Then I flipped all of them and put them back in the over overnight. I don't think this is a reliable way to get all the moisture out, so I wouldn't keep them longer than you would keep cookies for yourself or you could buy a food dehydrator. Hope this helps. |
