Problems with 5 month yorkie I have a 5 month yorkie-poo and she is great but her stool is not right. At first her stool was normal and we changed her food slowly and her stool was fine. Now for the last two days her stool has been runny and some red spots. My daughter had the flu could the dog have caught it? Also is this ok should I change the food again she is on solid gold. When we bought her she was eating diamond. Well I am concerned I havent had this happen before how long is two long for this problem? |
Did you change the food gradually or all at once? I do not think the pup could catch the flu, but then again I am not a Vet. You said the Pup was 5 months, have you been to the Vets lately, Has anything changed, it is helpful if you can make a list of things you have done since a day or to before this happened this way maybe you can figure it out. |
Red spots meaning blood? Take her to the Vet ASAP she could have developed parasites |

I would take her to the vet if you aren't positive it was the food switch. Blood in a puppy's stool can be serious. |
