Freaked out! Stepped on him! Hey guys, I'm really upset that I stepped on both his feet! I don't know if he's okay because he cried very loudly for a minute (I've never heard him cry like that) but now he's running around and playing. Should I take him to the doctors? I heard xrays could be very expensive. |
Nope Just keep an eye on him. Accidents happen and if he is running around playing chances are he is fine and vets and xrays are expensive. |
A similar story... Quote:
Needless to say, off to the vets we go - after hours, so it was top dollar! They took all kinds of xrays and did tests only to send me home with a $500+ bill telling me all the tests were fine, and that it was probably just arthritis. "Just give him a half of a buffered asprin 2 times a day." By the next afternoon he was fine! Now when he starts to limp or gets a little mopey, we break out the Bufferin! It sure was an expensive lesson for us! (Did I mention that it is about $3 for a full YEAR's supply of Bufferin!) Bottom line, if he's running around and playing - he's probably OK. Sometimes they are just going for the drama/sympathy!! Keep us posted, though! |
Thanks! He's fine now, I hope. I can't tell if he's limping or not because he tends to hop around =) hopefully he's okay!!! |
One of my nephews stepped (really hard) on Tatum's foot when she was only about 10-11 weeks old. Oh, she cried so hard and loud. Well, we had a church luncheon thing to go to right after that happened and lo and behold, I ran into my vet there! Of course I'm sure they're used to getting accosted with pet questions away from the clinic so I hated to bother him. But I did, and he said watch her for the rest of the day and if she still wouldn't walk on it by morning to bring her in. She was fine within a few hours. But yes, they are delicate and bad things can happen very quickly so you're wise to be concerned. I hope she's all better now. |
