those dam groomers ever since i took lexi to be groomed shes been scratching like crazy.. what the heck did they do to her?? first she was throwing up and now she itching all the time... ive checked her out, but there is nothing there. just her skin seems pink... and i dont like the way she smells either.. i feel bad for her.. what do i do? she scratched by her ears once in awhile, but now its very often and now its kind of all over.. |
Hmm..maybe her skin doesn't agree with the shampoo they used?? Has she stopped throwing up? |

she could be overly sensitive to their shampoo, I would rebathe her with some oatmeal to soothe her skin:( |
It does sound like the shampoo. If bathing her in oatmeal doesn't help, I would wonder about fleas. Sometimes groomers express anal glands and use "cologne" too. Who knows what is in it... |
i bet its the shampoo .. im getting really mad at these jerks.. i have oatmeal shampoo , i will give her a bathe tonight... yes, she stopped throwing up thank god.. ya see what i mean,,1 dam time i take her to the groomers in a year and this crap happens... they dont express anal glands there, why, who knows, but its prob. the perfume or shampoo. ive check for fleas, none.. |

and you know what?, shes also scratching her pee pee on the rug, i guess where they shaved her.. shes gliding across the living room and looks at me. awww.. and when i help her and scratch her, shes like in dream land |
If the skin is very pink, she may have been burned by the dryer. Did you see what kind of dryers they had there? Maybe she was too close to it, or they left it on for too long. Some dogs are more sensitive to it - especially yorkies because they don't have an undercoat. I have had this happen before. |
ohhhhhhh!!!! dont tell me that.. i even spoke to the shampooer , she was having a smoke outside while i was waiting for lexi to be done with her cut and i was asking her questions and told her about a dryer problem with these groomers.. she was very believing in what she said.. very convincing that they dont harm and they are very careful with the pets that go there. if she was burned wouldnt her hair looked burned? |

I would definately give your baby a good shampoo, and I would then give a hot oil treatment as well. As for the vomiting, I think your baby was extremely stressed. I've seen first hand how a few groomers treated dogs and it isn't pretty. Maybe invest in a good clipper and scissor and do the trimming yourself from now on. ;) |
