I love bully............. sticks, well not for eating ZIGGY love them for that. I love them cause he gives me a few seconds to breathe. Thank you nventor of Bully STicks! He just loves them, can you overdue on bully sticks how often do you give your dog puupy treats |
Love the bullies, but too much of them upset's otis's tummy. I think it's the smoke flavor stuff they put on them. |
lacy loves them too....i need to go buy dome more tomorrow |
I love bully Gave Tricksie one for 10 min., she got really sick with a bacterial infection, that was the only thing that changed in her diet. Have heard of others getting sick, maybe a coincidence. |
Bully sticks should be taken off the market. They can cause diarrhea and worse. There are too many chemicles on them to keep them from rotting on the shelves. Nasty things. Try giving just a beef femur bone cut in 1" size. Take the marrow out. It's pure fat and can cause diarrhea. Give raw and cut off most of the meat. |

What kind of Bully Sticks do you buy that they are full of chemicals? They are baked and dried/dehydrated. The good ones all say "no additives, no chemicals" I've given mine sticks forever and we've not had a problem with diarrhea unless Loki eats an ENTIRE 12" stick. They are like 80% protein so I think that would happen with too much of anything. Also, you can have any treat spoil or have bacteria in it. |
Do I have the only Yorkie that wants nothing to do with a bully stick...Winston wouldn't even touch it??? |

Which ones do you give Lacy? |
We've used Merrick and other various brands with no problem... It may just be a personal preference? Franklin would DIE without his. :D |

The ones I have are shrink wrapped. But they are dehydrated and baked. Just like you would make beef jerky in a dehydrator. |

Geez, I really thought maybe there was something wrong with Winston when he turned his nose up at a bully stick. Everyone seems to rave about them and how much their yorkies love them...but not mine...I thought how odd??? |
Where's the best place to get Bully Sticks? Are they only found online? |
I think some pet supply stores sell them but none do around here. I have to order mine online. I've bought from www.dogtoys.com and www.bestbullysticks.com The second website has really great prices. :) |
I get the ones from Free Range Chews/Moo Chews. I have had no problems with digestion. I just take it away from him when there is about an inch or two left. The first time he got one, I was so happy because it kept him occupied for a while. Now that he has gotten used to it, he will chew on it for a few minutes here and there and look for other things. I have also give him the tendon which were longer by the same company as well as the lamb ears by Merrick (does not last long and are richer so I don't give these often). I definitely don't give him anything that can be broken off no matter how much he likes it. |
