Skin Irritation
 

Marlo has a skin irritation and the vet says that it may have something to do with his food. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what I should switch him to?:confused:

Also he is aggressive because he is not neutered but I planned on getting him a female companion but I do not want a puppy. Potty training is the worst. Let me know your thoughts.:D

You could go to Wellness, Innova, Natural Balance (some was recalled last year though...) or homecook.

Yes get him on a good quality food with NO Corn or NO By products - Canidae, Wellness, Merricks - just to name a few.

Honestly, the BEST thing you can do for your little guy is get him neutered. #1 it will lower his chance of getting cancer - #2 it should solve his aggression and curb any other 'bad' habits that might arise.

Getting him a companion is a great idea - they will become best friends - but whether you get another female or male - they should ALL be spayed and neutered. You don't want to risk a pregnancy. With all the genetic defects that are being passed around by Yorkies that should not be breed, I truly hope you take that into consideration. Breeding is also high risk - ask any of the reputable breeders and they will tell you how long they researched. It's not just putting a male and female together and that's it - there's a lot involved.

Also, that won't solve your males aggression, actually he will remain aggressive, but he'll probably start to mark all the time and also hump 'lots' of things all the time.

I wish you the best and honestly, you should consider neutering, you would be doing him a tremendous act of kindness by neutering him. ;)

Orijen 6 fresh fish would be what id use, im about to switch roxie to that because her skin is starting to get flaky on the orijen puppy.

From what ive heard on this site thus far, anything without byproducts and fishy with no chicken seems to do the trick.

And my yogi is almost a year now, he is not neutered and he marks everywhere outside but has no agression issues and doesnt mark in the house...maybe he is too scared of daddy to be mean or mark inside but either way we have seen nothing bad from not neutering him but if it were my choice he'd be neutered, its the only way to go and the safest.
