Fromms? Any opinions on Fromms brand kibble? Tia seems to be itching a lot and I believe its the Canidae als she'ss been eating for the past 4-6 months. I'm looking at the Salmon a la veg bacause it has only 1 protein source (as opposed to the 4 in C als)...hoping to see if that reduces her itchies! Has anyone hear tried it? Heard good/bad about it? |
It doesn't look terrible but I'm not sure I would want to feed it. I don't like tomato in dog food. I wouldn't want to feed broccili everyday and I would only feed menadione if I had no choice. But it is okay I guess. Have you looked into Wellness, California Naturals, Natural Balance (a couple of their foods were recalled though)? |
Just to note...I went on the Fromm's website and as of 2005 they no longer use menadione in any of their food products. (found this info in their FAQs). I haven't looked yet into those brands you've mentioned. I'm too chicken to go to home cooked/raw diets because I'm not confident about fulfilling Tia's nutritional needs. I'll check out the ones you've mentioned. In the mean time, I've been mixing the Fromms with Canidae ro prpare for the switch. She seems to love it (although taht could be because it's new) :) |

Totally understand about being nervous about homecooking. I get nervous just about everytime I fix Ellie's food because I am concerned that something isn't right. I think it's better for her though. That's why I do it. |
I got a sample of the Fromm's Duck and Sweet Potato when I was at a dog show a few months ago. My Yorkies were crazy about it. They just don't sell it around here so I will eventually order some from PetFoodDirect. |
