Proden Plaque Off
 
Has anybody ever tried PRODEN PLAQUE OFF product. I think it is a product from Sweden and it comes in a powder form which you add to your dog's regular food. And it is supposed to help get those plaque off from their teeth.ANYONE!

Haven't tried that one but I was trying one similar named WYSONG Denta Treat. It's made out of dental active cheeses and the kids love the taste. Looks like parmasian greated cheese and it's all natural. Anyone else try this?

I am willing to try anything.

The PETZLIFE was not as good as it was touted to be.

Unfortunately I wasted money on that product.

Have to agree-Petzlife didn't do anything, neither did Leba. Just made my wallet lighter. Would love to know about Proden.

Bought the Proden Plaque Off
 
I ordered PRODEN PLAQUE OFF and I started my two furkids on it on the 28th of this Month. And hopefully this would work. I showed the product and the printed details about it which I got online and showed it to my Vet. He said that if it is what it is described in the detail printouts it looks like a good one to try. It has a warning that because the product was made of a certain kind of Norwegian seaweed it contains iodine. It said that if the dog/cat does not have an existing problem with thyroids then the small amount it has would not affect or harm them.I am hopeful that this would work. I will let everyone know if they would have an improvement in their teeth. My furkids are both 3 1/2 years old and both have a little discoloration starting at their back teeth even though I brush their teeth. I am always hopeful.

I had seen that some people on YT who were selling Petzlife raved about it,
but I had tried it before and found it to be not all that good.
And quite expensive also.

I really wish it were as good as they had said, but unfortunately it was a disappointment.

I will wait to hear some "real" testimonials about this PRODEN.

From someone using it, not selling it.

Like, would you buy a car from this (wo)man?

I just looked at the ingredients (because I'm a lot more careful about this after the Petzlife disappointment) and one of them is "proteins containing all amino acids".:confused: They would have to get a lot more specific before I'd consider using it. Are there animal proteins in it? What animals and from what country?

INGREDIENTS: Ingredients: Natural plant marine algae D1070, minerals and trace minerals 22%, fibre 6%, proteins with all amino acids 6%, Omega-3 fatty acids 2%. Free of artificial coloring, preservatives, gluten, salt and sugar..

I emailed them, as the product is really quite interesting - and Eva has seen fantastic results in such a short time.

The protein source is Ascophyllum Nodosum, which is a good seaweed/algae. They get theirs off the coast of Norway. They don't use any animal products and don't use any products from China. :)

Just wondering if anyone ended up ordering the Proden Plaque Off?? I need to buy something and was considering either Petzlife or Leba III, but many of you said that the Petzlife stuff didn't work for you. Only one person commented on the Leba, but said it didn't work either... Can someone please recommend a good product that works?

Pixie's and Roxie's breeder just sent me something called BreathaLyser plus she ordered from
Omaha Vaccine catalog and it is from Canada. You mixit in their water daily. I haven't tried it yet as I didn't want to start it while I had Haruka here in case of any problems with it. I was looking at the ingredients and a few concerned me but I may be getting it confused with what is in sugarless gum that is deadly for dogs. The ingredients are Purified water,Glycerine, Xylitol, polysorbate 20, potassium sorbate, Emilgase (an enzyme),Zinc glutonate, sodium benzoate, FD &C Blue number 1 and chlorhexidine gluconate. Does any one see any ingredient that is worrisome? Thanks If I use it I will keep you posted on the results.

Xylitol is known to be very toxic dogs even in small amounts. Please don't use this product!

I believe Xylitol is poisonous to dogs, although it seems to be in alot of the products.

ABOUT "PLAQUEOFF"

I Use ProDen Plaque Off because it was recommended by my Vet and I have had wonderful results. You just sprinkle a little (Yorkies don't need much) on their food and it is really really good. It also targets the back teeth that are so, so hard to reach. I also brush them every other day and they have white teeth and I noticed how much better they look.

I used the Placque Off religiously for a year. Sprinkled it on my Maddie's food twice a day. She just had a dental last month at age 2 and 4 months. I am not very good about brushing, she fights it so much, I had hoped the Placque Off would work. Sorry to report it didn't for us.

I just purchased the Leba III, but am having trouble getting it sprayed in mouth. How can a 7 lb dog turn into the tazmanian devil when I try to get in her mouth?????? If she is on my lap, she will let me look at her teeth, look in her mouth. But let me have a toothbrush or anything in my hand, and look out!

Placque off only works if you brush the teeth a little too. It works great for me. So, I don't know what to say!!!!

My Maddie won't let me "brush" her teeth, but I can put toothpaste on a child's toothbrush and she will "chew" on the toothbrush (while I hold it) to get the toothpaste off. I had quit doing this because I didn't think it was doing any good, but, now I"m thinking if something like Placque Off softens the tartar/placque maybe it would be ok?

It is really, really good on the back teeth that you can't reach. My Vet told me Calleigh's and Patti's teeth are a lot better since I have been using it. Give it a chance. I put a little in the bottom of their food dish and a little on the top. They don't mind the taste at all....

I've been using Proden Plaque off for my girls for over a month now with good results. I sure notice that plaque isn't building up and their breath smells very fresh all of the time. A lady in Palm Desert when we were on vacation last winter told me about this and that it was recommended by her Hollistic vet. Yes, it's some kind of seaweed formula that you just sprinkle on their food once in the morning. It may seem expensive but for our little babies size you only have to sprinkle a very small pinch on their foods. I'd recommend the product for sure. :D

I use petzlife my pets have no placque but I use a washcloth and rub it on there teeth daily no food or drink 30 mins before and after applying it works well for me.
