I found this information and decided to pass it on.

"As far as the PetzLife product goes, I'd be more concerned about the essential oils than about the grapefruit seed extract, which is safe as far as I know (though its supposed antibacterial effects are not supported by studies, as Ruthe wrote). I think I'd take the competitor's warnings with a grain of salt, but rosemary oil can lower seizure threshold in dogs prone to seizures, peppermint oil is contraindicated for dogs with reflux, I don't know about the other two. It bothers me that they don't have a full ingredient list, they just talk about certain specific ingredients. Several oral care products for dogs have turned out to use xylitol, which is toxic, so I'd watch out for that.

PetzLife has also been discussed in the past and again, some people reported trying it without success, see replies where applicable:

I'm pretty much a believer that if something seems to good to be true, or makes a lot of unsupported claims, it's not a good sign. I usually don't end up trying products like that.

Your welcome! I just started using this on my two. Now I'm worried about the oils. :confused:

Yeah I use it too! I've never had a problem but this is good to know...:eek:

I've used it for almost a year now, and have seen noticeable results. Both of mine are on the maintenance schedule, about 2 - 3 times a week. It would be disappointing if there were issues regarding it's safety. I will keep a close eye on this. Thanks for posting.

Well I have use it for long time, and is ok is not that great like at thought it will be but it helps the tartar a little, I use the petrodex on the girls and the results are better jmo but I will ck regarding this matter:eek: thankyou so much for sharing this info:thumbup:

I've been using it on Kayah for almost a year now.. no problems at all.. and it really helps with the tatar buildup

Oh, thanks for posting this!! I was going to give it a try!! Now, I might just stay with the Petsmart Peanut Butter Flavor toothpaste......
