You buy a voucher and it helps reduce the cost of the surgery but you still pay for the blood work, meds and anesthesia if I remember correctly. I contemplated using it with Lulu but for the cost of it with the additional stuff and then having only a handful of vets accept it...didn't see to be worth it. The vets in my area that accepted it I wasn't all that keen on and I decided to go with my vet that had done some extra studies in micro surgery.

I just priced it for Zoey and it will come to about $260 with teeth pulling, meds, surgery, blood work and anesthesia.

im in bensonhurst, i dont think its far but not close...does ur vet have one in bk?

thanks...i checked my vet dont accept for dogs but im changing her vet anyways because im not happy with them and the vet im gonna go to thru a very good friend and they take it...im so excited thanks so much it beats $200.00

I got a voucher from the animal shelter, it cost $60 and pays for the spaying and the anesthesia..I don't have the blood panel done, nor anything else, but, they also know, if anything goes wrong, they're to do whatever they have to do and I will pay for it..
The vets like to spay/neuter before they go in to heat for the first time..mine do them between 5-6 mos.

My vet told me to wait until the testicles dropped - usually they can be neutered around 6 months though.
