i personally do not like royal canin and have never offered it to morgan. i know lots of people here feed it tho. if you like it and Lola has no problems with it then try switching her to the adult or yorkie formula. She may not like those though because they are slightly different. I like other brands like wellness, solid gold, and natures variety. |
I am one of those people who hates it. It should be okay for you if the puppy kind has worked. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone (except maybe their vet diets) because of all the reactions. There are some foods (like Canidae) that most dogs seem to do well on with a few exceptions. Then you have RC that makes lots of Yorkies really itchy. It would be fine to use if your dog does well with it but I wouldn't recommend it still because it is full of corn. It is also overpriced for what is in it... |
If you are going to make the switch, I suggest going to an organic, all life stages brand. That is just my preference. I like the Timberwolf Organic Wild and Natural, it has very tiny kibble. My vet said the all life stages foods are fine for puppies as long as they eat it and are gaining weight. |
