Puppy teeth... I noticed that Yoshi puppy teeth didn't fall out so he has like 2 of them. And being as little as he is...I don't know what I need to do to get rid of the puppy teeth. Any suggestion? Thanks. |
I'd take Yoshi to the vet and let them handle it.. |
How old is yoshi...babies loose their teeth up to a bit after a year. Keep an eye on it and depending on his age you should consult the vet. If he hasn't been neutered as yet while he is under for a pittance you can have the vet pull those extra teeth out. |
he is will be 8 months next week...and weights in at 2 lbs 9 oz. (since the haircut). Yoshi is going to be my stud so I will not be neutering him. Thanks. |

Retained baby teeth is very common in Yorkies. Your vet will need to pull them--most generally have this and spay/neuter done at the same time.:) Kills 2 birds w/ one stone. |

My yorkie's baby teeth had not came out and I was very worried because he was not eating as much as he normally had. I called the vet and she examined him and told me that it was normal for a yorkie to have this and that it would be best if I had them pulled when I decided to have him neutered! He was 1 yr. and 2 months old. Good Luck!!! |
Quite often I read on different posts about having second teeth pulled during a neuter or spay. When a neuter/spay is done at 5/6 mo. that is too early for some of the permanent teeth to even be in. (At least it was with my 11 mo. old Yorkie.) Just was wondering how that works. Chipper was neutered at 5.5 mo. and now he has a couple extra teeth. Guess they'll be staying until he gets a dental unless someone informs me different. :) Joanne :aimeeyork :aimeeyork :aimeeyork :dog: |
