blood in the stool means an irritated bowel. You said she has had diarrhea since the 2nd? what have you been doing to remedy this? |
Is there anything else you have noticed wrong with her? Have you changed her die to help with her loose poop or has she maybe been eating something that gave her an upset tummy? Has she been exposed to another dog or doggie area where she could have caught something? You can always PM me if you want. I would post this in the sick forum for anyone there to answer. Sorry she is not feeling well. :( |
A little blood in the stool can be no big deal, but a puddle of blood is serious. You need to get her to the vet asap. I doubt you can find one to come to you. I'm sure there must be an after hours emergency vet in your area. At the very least, two days of diarrhea can quickly dehydrate her. She probably needs fluids just for that. |
Stress or a change in diet can cause blood in the stool. I found this out with my Bella and oh boy it scared the daylights out of me. I brought her in to the dr to make sure her stool tested negative for worms/parasites and we ended up coming to the conclusion that it was the food switch I had recently done. I put her on a boiled chicken and rice diet for a few days and then back to her old food and all was good in the world. It isn't something you should mess with and hopefully your vet has Saturday hours and you can get her in for a check, at the least I would start feeding chicken and boiled rice now and make sure she is drinking plenty of water. |
Contact a vet! I'm sorry but this doesn't sound like a situation where you should be relying on online help. |
I know my vet first guess is to check for coccidia , how old is your baby? |
One thing you can give them is canned pumpkin(it's good for constipation and diarrhea)..I would give her about a Tablespoon and see if that helps, but, if it were me, mine would have been at the vet way before now..these yorkies are so small to begin with and if she's having diarrhea for 2 days she will lose too much weight..I would call the vet tomorrow and get her in then too.. |
How is she doing did you get her to the vet? |

Blood in the bowls can be from lots of things as everyone has already said, when my two did this it was because my hubby had feed them fatty roast. it lasted about 3 days. I would take her in for a vet check. |
