Very Painful Reaction My Moxie had his 3rd set of shots today and is having a very painful reaction. I called the Vet and he had me bring him back in to look at him and said that he can't find anything wrong and that he's just sore from the shot. Whenever I pick him up or pet him he lets out this awful cry that sounds like a scream.....I'm a wreck! Has this happened to any of you? My Vet is a very nice man and he comes very highly recommended. Of course when Moxie was there he didn't cry half of what he's been doing at home. Please let me know if this happened to any of you so I can stop worrying. Thanks, Terry |
Mine Did The Same Thing But Thats The Reaction Of The Shots. It Will Also Make Them Sleepy, There Will Be Back To Normal When They Wake Up The Next Day ;) |
Jewels had a reaction to the bordatella shot aand she was just as you described. She would not let you hold her without crying and shaking. By the end of the night she was better though. Hopefully this will pass soon for you like she did. |
By the way it was her 3rd set of shots that she had a reaction to also. I worried that she would then also have a reaction to the rabies but she didn't. |
Poor baby - I've heard of them crying from the hurt of the injection site - I hope your baby feels better tommorrow - |
Sending good wishes to Moxie. Polly did the same and like Chachi said by the evening she was back to her self. |
Yes, Max did the same thing! I wasnt able to pick him up or pet him for about 2 days, after that he was just fine ;) |
Thank You -Thank You -Thank You!!!!! I can't tell you how much better I feel knowing that other dogs have had this reaction. As Chachi said her dog Jewels had the same reaction to the Bordetella. Today was Moxie's first Bordetella shot so that must be why he reacted this way this time and not the others. A (BIG HUG) to all of you! Thanks, Terry |
