Oven Baked Tradition?? - Product from Canada
 

Anyone familiar with Oven-Baked Tradition?? I received some samples at a healthy pet food store. It is suppose to be a natural, holistic food and is made in Canada. A plus of the product seems to be that it has Omega 3-6 and Glucosamine added. www.ovenbakedtradition.com

I used to feed Flint River Ranch and really liked the oven baked process, I know one of the benefits of oven baking is that it helps with the bloat problem some dogs have.

Anyone know anything about this product?? How about those of you in Canada?? The owner of the shop told me that it is a new product, out since like March & that's why I probably hadn't heard of it. After, I came home, I wondered if available in the US since March or really produced since then?? The gal told me it is from a small family owned company. I did some searching on the web and found out that it might be part of a Quebec company called bio biscuit and solely owned by the Lemieux family.

Checking the dog food analysis site won't help on this one. The one thing I hate about that website, is all the ratings and review are old - there are new products out that are not reviewed on that site. I just wish there was another similar comparison - because I would like that type of analysis from a professional or be able to compare a few reviews.

Canadian here but havent heard of it..hmmm...I think we have some quebec'ers on here though :)

I'm in British Columbia and I've never heard of it . Checked the web site and couldn't find were they are located , not sure why that needs to be a secret all in all I wasn't impressed with their site , :thumbdown

Hey Missy. I've seen this food in our local healthy pet emporium. They also make treats that i've seen but never tried. Layla isn't a fan of large crunchy treats. But i know this pet store only carries the best so if your guys like it i'd say go for it.

well, yes the website isn't much - but it's the food I'm concerned with. I know of a number of great companies that don't have the best websites. Especially newer companies or those whose expertise lies elsewhere. So I'm wondering if their expertise lies in high quality dog food.

The Bio Biscuit website looks better organized. But nowhere on either site can I find a link between the treats & the dog food - I think I saw that somewhere else when I was searching the web

I'm not sure if it is the same one, but I got a whole mess of samples at my local pet store and also from the co. in the mail. I fed it to my mini schnauzer. It seemed pretty good to me. The ingredients were good. I thought it was kind of expensive when I looked at the prices of the bags - but maybe it's worth it if it's a really good food.

In the last week, I stopped at the store where I had received the Oven-Baked Tradition. They sale it - for now, there was a sign hanging in front of the food saying that when their supply was gone there would be no more, because the company was going to stop shipping to the USA -- I was a bit surprised by that.

I never ended up purchasing it, but the dogs really liked the large sample bags they gave us. And I love the oven-baked process.

Hi! From Toronto here. I was goin to post the same question since there’s not much reviews online. Make sense now, didn’t know its new. Anyway, I got. few samples as well, and my yorkie loves it. No issues with changes in stool etc. She stopped eating Royal Canine so Im thinking of buying a whole bag of oven baked after the i go through the sample. Would love other peoples feedback though...
