Transition from puppy to adult food I've searched and read on a lot of different food brands, and just wanted to ask your advice. Right now I'm feeding Sully Royal Canin Puppy because it was recommended by his breeder. His vet thinks he should eat science diet but I've read even worse things about that brand. I've read some not so good reviews on Royal Canin's content and quality since then too. It seems like the best dry foods have fewer and more natural ingredients, and higher protein content, but is the high protein amount in some too much for a yorkie's small digestive system?? At what age do you recommend mixing in adult food? What is the best quality adult food that you use? Thank you! :) P.S. Have you noticed that higher quality foods give your pup less eye goobers?? |
Most vets recommend Science Diet. That doesn't mean anything though. I used to feed that and Elie threw up on it. I would never recommend it. I don't like Royal Canin either. It made Ellie very itchy and I have heard a lot of complaints about that. It is also not that great of a food. My first choice is to homecook. I am sure you will get lots of kibble recommendations though. |
