Sleepy Yorkie !!!!!!!!!!! hi Has anyone got any advice on my sleeping yorkie, how much sleep does a 6 week old yorkie need, i know she's young and probably does need a lot of sleep but how much, she seems to sleep most of the day, when she wakes up she has a wee sometimes a poo then a little munch on her food and i mean a little about a teaspoon, then a 5/10 minute play then sleep...........is this normal..... |
It is normal! You can search other threads on here too. I believe there was a big discussion on this just this past week! Good luck with you new puppy!! |
Six weeks is still a baby, so it's perfectly normal. Congrats on your new baby, and good luck!:) |
Congratulations. That's perfectly normal for a little one. |
Yep sounds normal for such a young baby... |
Congrats on your new baby:) Puppies are like babies, Sleep, eat & poo:) |
Well thanks eveyone for your help and advice with Molly i've been a little worried over the last couple days, with her eating and sleeping, but feel a bit more relaxed now, just given her half of a weetabix with puppy milk she gulped the lot down then she was really playful for about 10 mins now she is flat out in front of fire, now i can relax and hopefully have a good nights sleep, didnt realise it was such hard work but its worth every minute especially when she's kissing/biting my ear to death....... |
yes, i was worried about my peanut too! she's 10 weeks old and still sleeps quite a bit! but she's up at 6am like clockwork! and then she takes her naps throughout the day. congrats! |
she is still VERY young... i know puppies sleep soemthing like 18 out of 24 hours.. maybe even more... Layla is a year and a half and she still has days where she sleeps more than others.. your pup is growing and everything is new and exciting and takes a lot of energy... as long as she is eating, drinking peeing and pooping.. sounds good! just make sure she is eating enough and frequently enough to maintain her bloodsugar... make sure he gums are pink.. not white |
