Question About New Food Hi Everyone, I have a nine month old yorkie named Daisy. From day one we have fed her Eukanuba dry puppy food. Last week Daisy decided that she didn't want to eat her food anymore. She will try and eat everything in sight except for her own food. A friend suggested a brand called Evo by Innova which is supposed to be all natural but it says that its not approved by the AARCO-- (I think those are the right appreviations)?? Does anyone have any suggestions about what they are feeding a nine month old pup? Also has anyone heard about this holistic brand of dog food? Any help would be appreciated!! Thanks! |
AAFCO stands for the Association of American Food Control Officials. I wouldn't put too much stock in what they say. It is good if a food is AAFCO approved because then you know it is balanced but some terrible dog food are considered balanced. Innova Evo is a grainless food. It is good if you want to go grainless. Some people prefer grainless for Yorkies but I don't mind grain, so I like regular Innova better. They are both good foods and Eukanuba is not. It has fillers and byproducts.
