diet questions again I have posted about Sissy before and her eating habits that I have let happen. She eats nothing but boiled boneless/skinless chicken breasts. I know this is not good for her and she needs other nutrients. Also, I don't think all the protein is good for her. I offered kibble to her for almost 4 full days and she didn't eat a drop of food ,finally I was concerned and caved in,they say a dog won't starve themselves..didn't seem that way to me. This morning I ground up the kibble(innova) to almost a powder substance in my blender and mixed it with her chicken she didn't touch it,I don't know what to do anymore. She seems like she doesn't have the energy she use to and Im really concerned about this. I don't want to do raw ,I can't stomach that. So, I have heard some feed hambuger, doesn't that have too much fat.? What about a good canned food? I really don't want to be in the kitchen cooking for my furkids all the time,my husband keeps me in there enough. I need some ideas please.:) |
Have you tried soaking the kibble in chicken broth? Maybe just adding a little bit to her chicken at a time? I can see where that would definately worry you.:( |
diet question again 2 Attachment(s) I saw a couple at the Vet the other day and they had 2 yorkies that were 11 years old and they only eat chicken breast, they are healthy but they advised me not to ever give Tricksie any. Yes, chicken broth is good but low sodium and maybe some brown rice. Good luck. Donna |
I would highly recommend Merrick canned or feed her a meat based freeze-dried raw like Stella & Chewys. Or a kibble like Evo or Orijen. Mine get Merrick on nights when I don't cook, and right now I'm switching them to Orijen for their morning kibble. |
