he's a humper my puppy is a lil over 10weeks, and this week he's started humping his bed and my arm...is that normal????? |
Cosmo humps all his stuffed animals, he likes his yorkie the best. When I see him I stop him to let him know it is not acceptable. He started at 9 weeks. |
I Have A Girl Yorkie My Friend Has A Boy And Hes Always Doing It. She Told Me It Gets Annoying When He Does It In Front Of Visitors |
Ramsey humps any and everything.. It is normal! |
Moxie is 14 weeks old and he humps when he's playing. I asked my Vet and he said it has nothing to do with sex but is a sign of dominance. I just distract him with another toy and it seems to do the trick ....for a while anyway LOL. Terry |
Neither of my pups hump things. But I love the title of this thread so I had to reply!! |
He just wants to show off!! I know, it can be a concern and really embarassing when company shows up, but I can assure you that it is perfectly normal. My mom's female Maltese has her own teddy bear that she works every now and then. |
Chewy had a romantic moment with Ervin, my son's stuffed monkey last week. He is 4 1/2 months and I was shocked and a little sad for Ervin because I think he felt used!!! There were also funny pics from Vilette of one of her girls with a gorilla - I will have to find it and post. It is definitely normal for them to hump but 10 weeks is way ahead of the curve. You have to yell at them and say no, even though it is so funny to watch. |
http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/showthread.php?t=9729 Here is my earlier thread. Check out Vilette's pics. Hilarious! |
hehe Vilette's pic had me LMAO!!! My Mini Schnauzer girl use to "have her way" with her stuffed tiger til we got her fixed. Now my 2 boys Pochi and Choppi try to get on her but they only seem to try to hump her face. Pochi is so non-aggressive that he actually whines cause he wants to so bad. Of course they both don't know what they are doing and they look lost and confused like they don't know what or why they are doing it and can't control it. By the time she figures out that they aren't trying to play with her but mount her face she growls and nips at them. They won't stop unless I either say their name sternly or yell out "Ah!" hehe We are getting Choppi fixed this Fri. :( I have mixed feelings on this but hopefully it will calm him down and make him less aggressive. On the plus side, there\'s a coupon from my vet in this Tuesdays newspaper for neutering/spaying so we get to say some $$. YAY. hehe |

I remember those pics of Chanel and that thread. Those pix are classic!!! Some of the funniest I\'ve seen on here! |
I just found YorkieTalk and was was reading through when I found this thread and had to share my guy\'s "story!" Toby has the hots for Elmo. He\'s a "tickle-me" version, and you couldn\'t even imagine when I first heard Elmo giggling and saying "oooh that tickles" I haven\'t gotten it on video yet, but have threatened him at times. The only other thing he seems to want to hump is his groomer\'s arm. He doesn\'t do this to anyone else, but her. Guess because she has "intimate" knowledge of his parts. Hope to get to know you all in the future. Toby is my second yorkie baby. I had my Sneaker for 17 years before she traveled to Rainbow Bridge. |
I\'m pretty sure it\'s normal. Use a spray bottle when you see him doing it, it should stop him. Bailey\'s almost 7 months and thank goodness he hasn\'t started. That\'s one behaviour I will not tolerate :thumbdown |
